Death Race

Terminal Island: The very near future. The world’s hunger for extreme sports and reality competitions has grown into reality TV bloodlust. Now, the most extreme racing competition has emerged and its contestants are murderous prisoners. Tricked-out cars, caged thugs and smoking-hot navigators combine to create a juggernaut series with bigger ratings than the Super Bowl. The rules of the Death Race are simple: Win five events, and you’re set free. Lose and you’re road kill splashed across the Internet. International action star Jason Statham leads the action-thriller’s cast as three-time speedway champion Jensen Ames, an ex-con framed for a gruesome murder. Forced to don the mask of the mythical driver Frankenstein, a Death Race crowd favorite who seems impossible to kill, Ames is given an easy choice by Terminal Island’s ruthless Warden Hennessey (Joan Allen): Suit up and drive or never see his little girl again. His face hidden by a hideous mask, one convict will enter an insane three-day challenge in order to gain freedom. But to claim the prize, Ames must survive a gauntlet of the most vicious criminals—including nemesis Machine Gun Joe (Tyrese Gibson)—in the country’s toughest prison. Trained by his coach (Ian McShane) to drive a monster Mustang V8 Fastback outfitted with 2 mounted mini-guns, flamethrowers and napalm, an innocent man will destroy everything in his path to win the most twisted spectator sport on Earth.

Beer For My Horses

Beer For My Horses Poster

Beer For My Horses is a rough-ridin', beer-swillin', sheriff-dodgin', trouble-chasin', good ol’ boys comedy-adventure written by and co-starring superstar Toby Keith and popular comedian/recording artist Rodney Carrington. Inspired by Keith’s #1 hit song, “Beer For My Horses,” the fun-filled action-adventure careens onto the open road with two buddies – Rack (KEITH) and Lonnie (CARRINGTON) – who have quietly been pursuing justice as deputies in a small Southern town. But when Rack’s irresistible girlfriend (CLAIRE FORLANI) is kidnapped by a particularly nasty drug lord (CARLOS SANZ) as revenge for the arrest of his brother Tito (GREG SERANO), the duo decide to defy their boss, Sheriff Landry (TOM SKERRIT), and chase them down . . . by any means necessary. Rounding up the town’s most off-beat lawman – Skunk Tarver (rock legend TED NUGENT), a defiantly silent man who chooses to use a bow n’ arrow instead of a gun – they take off on a rip-roaring road trip with all the makings of a rollicking comic joyride that’s not afraid to go over the top. Beer For My Horses is produced by Toby Keith and Donald Zuckerman and is executive produced by TK Kimbrell Jeff Yapp and Leslie Belzberg. The director of the movie is Michael Salomon. Keith, Carrington, Forlani, Skerrit, Nugent, and Serano approached the film in classic road comedy style – letting loose and adding a wild unpredictability to the film’s outrageous stunts. Rounding out the eclectic group of actors taking on the film’s uproariously eccentric characters are cameos by Barry Corbin (No Country For Old Men), country legend Willie Nelson and country music outlaw David Allan Coe./td>

8 Miles High

Eight Miles High (Das Wilde Leben) tells the incredible true story of European wild-child Uschi Obermaier. The film tracks her restless life from a small town girl in rural Bavaria to a fast-living fashion icon in Munich; from free-loving companion of the Rolling Stones to ultimately becoming the embodiment of the 60’s generation of sex, drugs, and rock’n’roll. This is one woman’s story about the discovery of freedom and the price one must ultimately pay to achieve it.
